Yamaha Outboard Oil Tank Sensor Bypass

Fwiw while trouble shooting i replaced the following for naught.

Yamaha outboard oil tank sensor bypass. The 2 stroke oil is not transferring from my external reservoir to the one on the. The remote oil pump would not turn on. The seal is designed to live its life in the oil supply. The oil leakage now might be the least of concerns.

Yamaha outboard oil warning light repair. I have a 2001 yamaha ox66 where the main oil tank on the engine is not filling automatically. The oil tank is full. I turned it off and tried it again several times.

But with alarm blarring and remote float at full level tank would fill. The emergency bypass fill switch does work by allowing the tank to fill with this switch engaged. I was starting it this morning and as soon as i turned the key the alarm buzzer went off. Engine tank should begin filling after 4 5 seconds and stop when gets full.

When i locked float to empty position on remote tank. I have a mid 90s yamaha 70hp precision blend 2 stroke. I have had the outboard for 4 years and this has never happened before. Remote tank sensor remote tank pump.

The yamaha outboard alarm system can fail just like any other system on your outboard. Its purpose is to force oil to flow through the strainer and not bypass the strainer at the nipple. Need to find the seal.
