Wet Spot On Carpet Second Floor

We tried to dry it up but it has stayed wet for a couple weeks.

If you can feel a soft spot in the floor under the carpet the subfloor has likely been weakened or damaged. If the spot is isolated away from any walls or doors you will need to pull up the carpet.
