Using Glue When Laying Carpet

Use a push broom to sweep the carpeting to push out any air bubbles.
Using glue when laying carpet. Run a line of hot glue still using the nozzle around the carpet between the carpet edge and the inner edge of the binding. Use the manufacturer recommended carpet adhesive. When spraying the glue with a simple spray gun spray the glue past the inside corners where you have to install another piece next to it. Use a trowel to apply a layer of glue to each of the outside corners. Installing carpet directly over concrete can be a do it yourself project if using the glue down method. Press the two together for a better seal while the glue is still melted. It needs to be spread across the tile and should not be applied in a grid method.

Ensure the carpet is firmly in contact with the adhesive. Start in small sections so that the adhesive does not dry out too quickly. Glue down carpet tiles. Whether for a basement enclosed porch or a finished garage you can use carpet to cover concrete floors.
Use a carpet roller 75 100 lbs for carpet only. Next lay the carpet tiles along. Pull the carpet back into position and smooth it out until there are no wrinkles. The manufacturer may recommend allowing the adhesive to set somewhat before placing the tiles.
